Webster’s Lodge – Fishing, Hunting, and Relaxed Northern Ontario Stays

At Webster’s Lodge near Sioux Lookout, we offer a true Northwestern Ontario getaway built around great fishing, productive hunting country, comfortable cottages, and friendly lodge hospitality. Guests come here to spend real time outdoors, share meals, and enjoy the kind of relaxed pace that makes a Northern trip memorable year after year.

Our fully equipped lakeside cottages provide everything needed for an easy stay. Each cottage includes heat, electricity, hot and cold running water, private bathrooms, full kitchens, linens, and outdoor picnic and barbecue areas. With two- and three-bedroom options, cottages suit couples, families, and small groups, while two winterized cottages welcome guests during the ice fishing season. A sandy beach, docks, and play areas sit close to all accommodations, making it simple for guests to move between cottage and water throughout the day.

Fishing is at the heart of the Webster’s Lodge experience. Located on Abram Lake within the English River–Lac Seul system, guests enjoy access to Abram, Minnitaki, Pelican, and Lost Lakes, along with remote backcountry waters reached by boat caches. Anglers fish for walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass, muskie, lake trout, perch, and crappie across quiet bays, rocky shorelines, and island-filled channels. Our 16-foot Lund boats with reliable four-stroke motors make travel safe and comfortable, while remote boats extend fishing into lightly pressured waters. Whether guests seek steady action or the chance at a trophy, fishing here remains consistently rewarding.

Hunters are equally well served. Webster’s Lodge offers spring and fall black bear hunts in active baited areas across productive boreal forest habitat known for strong bear numbers. Hunts include accommodations, baited stands, and retrieval assistance, with guiding and processing available. Moose hunts are also available in remote Northwestern Ontario zones with drive-to and fly-out options. These low-pressure areas provide classic moose country of forest, water, and wetlands, offering a traditional Northern hunt supported by lodge logistics and planning.

Meals and gathering are centered at the Driftwood Café, our on-site dining space open from May through October. Guests enjoy hearty home-style breakfasts, grab-and-go lunches, and full dinners prepared from a weekly-posted daily menu. Meal plans or individual meals are available, along with packed lunches and early breakfasts for anglers and hunters. Fresh coffee, baked goods, and snacks keep everyone fueled throughout the day, and the café serves as a comfortable place to share stories after time on the water or in the bush.

Webster’s Lodge is also a welcoming family destination. Children enjoy the beach and swimming, while evenings bring campfires, sunsets, and time together by the lake. In winter, guests return for ice fishing and quiet snowy landscapes. Across all seasons, the focus stays the same: comfortable lodging, dependable equipment, real Northern country, and warm hospitality.

For guests seeking fishing, hunting, and relaxed cottage stays near Sioux Lookout, Webster’s Lodge offers a complete Northern Ontario experience where days are active, nights are peaceful, and memories last long after the trip ends.
