    Welcome to Northern Wilderness Cottages.

If you are interested in a vacation spot with a fly in feeling without having to pay the fly in price, we  have just what you’ve been looking for.  Situated near the town of Missanabie, and 4 hours north of Sault Ste. Marie, our cottages are individually nestled around beautiful Dog Lake in the heart of the Algoma district of Northern Ontario.Dog Lake Fishing at Northern Wilderness Cottages

Spread out along the picturesque shores of Dog Lake and very private, our cottages are strictly boat access with the exception of one which you can drive up to.  No need to fly into Dog Lake since it is accessible with paved roads, thereby allowing you to bring your own boat and motor, if you wish to do so.  Once here, a short commute down the lake brings you to your own private, fully furnished and supplied housekeeping cottage.  We offer cottages with two or three bedrooms and can accommodate groups of 2-12 guests.

Once you’ve settled into your cottage, you will be able to set out and take advantage of the many different angling opportunities available to you on Dog Lake’s 13,000 acres.  The species awaiting you are Walleye, Lake Trout, Northern Pike, Perch, Smallmouth Bass and Whitefish.

When you plan your next vacation, ask yourself these questions:

Do you want to stay at a crowded lodge with a noisy generator blaring behind your cabin day and night?

    Or…

Would you prefer to quietly relax with just your family and friends in your own private cottage surrounded only by the northern wilderness?

If you answered ‘no’ to the first question and ‘yes’ to the second, Northern Wilderness Cottages might just be the choice for you.
